Testimonials

Parker seemed like a bright, intelligent person that I would have liked to meet. I felt very sad Parker died from an overdose.  Young people take drugs super lightly now and drugs is what ends up killing most teens and young adults. I feel most people wouldn't have the courage to present an event so terrible without breaking down. I liked the presentation and wouldn't change anything and am very sorry for your loss. Thank you for your time and I hope that people learn what "A little Pot" can lead to and how devastating a loss can be.

A close friend of mine got involved with drugs after his father died. He was depressed at 14 and started to smoke pot to escape all of his problems. He struggled with suicidal thoughts and the drug use got worse. Your son's story reminded me of my friend and I will not forget it. Thank you for sharing his story.  I was very moved by your presentation.

I appreciate your passion for sharing Parker's Promise to students in our Public Schools.  Teachers have been made aware of the procedure for guest speakers and our department will continue to provide communication to schools concerning this.  I believe this is an important message and will continue to advocate from my end.

Mrs. Kester, you recently came and spoke to my health class about your son. Your story was very moving. It takes a lot of courage to come to speak out. Your presentations really help kids understand the effects of drugs on someone's life. I'm so sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing your story to help us get a better understanding of drugs.
